50th REUNION DETAILED REPORT

Friday, October 13, 2006
  - Morning golf outing - Ramblewood C.C.- Harvey Restrick in charge - 11 classmates
    participated- Thanks, Harvey!
  - "Welcome" Reception - at the Clarion (Host Hotel)- 5:30pm- 90 classmates and
    guests.
  - Florence Mears Thompson provided SHIELD photo name tags for all events -
    Thanks, Florence! 
  - Molly Fretz Stevens collected HMHS photographs and other memorabilia from
    various classmates.  Molly did an excellent  job of organizing several tables and
    easels for viewing these 50-year-old treasures. Molly also displayed several art
    pieces created by several classmates. Thanks, Molly (and Charles for lending a
    hand)!
  - Frank Jackson set-up his sound system and provided 50's music during the
    Reception. He also helped Joan Pera O'Neill with the whimsical table decorations. 
    Thanks, Frank and Joan!
  - Tom Baird set-up his computer projection system and showed our SHIELD and
    other photos on the screen. Thanks, Tom!

  - Morning - Tour of HMHS - 9:30am - Shirley Borrell Deal in charge - 30 classmates
    enjoyed seeing the school again with current students as guides - Thanks, Shirley!
  - Class Lunch at Tom and Judie Baird's home in Tavistock - 11:30am -
    90 classmates and guests - Great hospitality, great food, great weather, great time!
    Thanks very much, Tom and Judie, for your generosity!
  - 50th Reunion Reception & Dinner-Dance at the Clarion-Reception 5:30pm - 150
    classmates and guests. Lobby area then to Ballroom - Greeting / Remarks / Dinner /
    Live Dance Band 8:30-1:00 pm - band coordinated by Dick Hammond. Thanks,
    Dick.
  - Flowers on Ballroom Dinner tables coordinated by Joan Pera O'Neill and Frank
    Jackson. Thanks, Joan and Frank.
  - Announcement of our Class of 1956 Gift to HMHS was made by Baird Foster, who,
    with Tom Baird, had worked with HMHS personnel to define a need area. Thanks to
    classmate contributions, we have established the "Class of 1956 Scholarship For
    Further Education in Music".  For at least 5 years, a $1,000 scholarship will be
    presented to a graduating HMHS senior who will continue his / her education in the
    field of music. (To create this scholarship, on October 19 arrangements were made
    by Baird Foster and Tom Baird for a $5,600 check to be given to HMHS personnel.
    Further tax-deductible contributions can be made in the name of the Class of 1956 -
    more information on that will soon be distributed.) Thanks, Baird and Tom..and also
    Dick Hammond, our Reunion Treasurer, for his handling of the classmate contribu-
    tions can be made in the name of the Class of 1956 - more information on that will

  - A proclamation from the Haddonfield Alumni Society (HAS) was presented to
    Margo Milling Foster, making her an official member of the Class of 1956. Margo
    grew up in Haddonfield and had been in the Haddonfield school system until she
    moved after her Freshman year at HMHS.
  - Special Song Presentation by Connie Beane Blake (arrangement), Molly Fretz
    Stevens (lyrics), Shirley Borrell Deal and Pat McGlade Herdelin. Thanks, Ladies!  
    (They rival the Lennon sisters!)
  - Class Reunion Photo taken by John Stranieri, husband of Laurette Dobrzynski
    Stranieri, arranged by Joyce Jackson May.  Info regarding the Class Photo to be
    provided soon. Thanks, John, Laurette and Joyce. 
  - The 50th Reunion  50's music custom CD gift, courtesy of Frank and Pat Jackson.

  - The outstanding 50th Class Reunion Yearbook, including  the NEW 2006 Class of
    956 Directory. Thanks again to Baird and Margo Milling Foster for their great work
    on the Yearbook!

  - "Farewell" Brunch at the Clarion- 10:30 am- Judy Jefferies Fielder and Paul Sturgis
     in charge - 55 classmates and guests- nice brunch, fun trivia quiz with HMHS prizes
    and encore song by Connie Beane Blake. Special thanks to Judy and Paul and also
    to Connie for her solo!
